How a double glazing company ended up giving windows away. Help 2 Buy Windows started in 2018 with one idea: use the profits from a window business to fund free windows and doors for people who could not otherwise afford them.

When we started out in 2018, we kept running into the same problem. Families with cold, draughty, failing windows who could not find the money to replace them, and who fell outside almost every government scheme going. Quotes were high, grants were rare, and the people who needed help most were the ones being turned away.
We thought that was backwards. A warm, secure home should not depend on having a few thousand pounds spare.
The only grant scheme of its kind
So we built something the trade had not really tried. Help 2 Buy Windows is the only double glazing company in the UK to put its own profits into a privately funded grant scheme. Every window and door we sell helps fund free installations for homeowners in genuine difficulty.
To be completely clear, this is not a government grant and never has been. It is funded entirely by us, and grants are awarded subject to qualifying criteria and the funding available at the time.
